How is EPAT® Performed?
EPAT® is an in-office treatment and can take as little as 10-15 minutes depending on the reason for treatment. Typically, patients can expect to undergo three to four treatment sessions at weekly intervals. Coupling gel is applied before the EPAT® releases pressure waves through the applicator as it is moved in a circular motion over the targeted area.
Is It Safe?
EPAT® is FDA cleared technology that has undergone extensive clinical studies and tests, which have confirmed its safety and efficacy. When administered by a trained caregiver, EPAT® has little to no risks or side effects. If you are suffering from Malignancies or Deep Vein Thrombosis (VDT), the safety and effectiveness have not been fully evaluated and you should speak with your podiatrist before undergoing EPAT®.
